How I can secure my WordPress Installation?

Safety is a big problem these days, not only in the real world, but also in the online world.

Unfortunately, some people have nothing better to do than hack the other peoples websites and blogs.

So what can do to avoid becoming a victim of an attack?

Well, the answer is that you need to block your website or blog in order to facilitate the work of hackers as difficult as possible.

If you are determined enough will find a way, but you can certainly make it harder for them in the hope that they will move to an easier target.

If your site runs on WordPress then there are many steps you can take to improve your safety, here are some them -

1. Make sure you are running the latest version of WordPress - the hackers are always finding new holes and vulnerabilities for defend himself with the latest version of WP that has all the latest exploits patched.

2. Maintaining the security of password - use passwords complex and change frequently as hackers sometimes attempt to enter your blog through a brute force or dictionary attack.

3. Make sure you have configured the correct file and folder permissions set permissions on files and directories is important, because it does not want to give access to unauthorized persons. Their values should be chmod 755 for directories, 644 for plugins and WP PHP core files, and 666 for files of active theme.

4. Back up regularly - most often the best because if something comes up, you will be able to restore your blog minutes.

I personally back up my blog every day.
