WordPress Plugin Addiction: The main cause of the Dead website

You have a problem? Plugin.
Need your site to act differently? Plugin.
Design change? Plugin.
Redirect? Plugin.
Footer Link? Plugin!
RIP? Plugin! (OK maybe not ... I)

Sometimes it feels like there is a WordPress plugin problem can not fix! In fact, sometimes not even add plugins to fix the problems. Add them, because they are fresh, or bright or enhancements. If our site is sweet with 5 plugins, then it will be Kick Ass with 50!

No?

Well .... Maybe. But most likely have addiction Plugin. WordPress plug-in addiction is no joke. What begins as the use of plug-in recess, can quickly turn ugly and result in things like website downtime, slow loading times and in some cases ... errors fatal.

Luckily, eProfits want to help. Although usually suggest some kind of twelve-step program for overcoming addiction, we created a simple 3-step program to help break the addiction of their plugin for WordPress.

Step 1 - Self-knowledge: It is time to take a look at website. I know it can be difficult, but take a long look at your website. It's all plug-ins that should have been devoted to improvement? Plugins I could survive losing your website? Plugins that are more for the ego of their enjoyment to visitors? if a plug-in is not 100% necessary, then consider letting. Really evaluate the characteristics you can and can not live and keep only those who could not live without it. Be tough!

Step 2 - Eliminate Duplication: Is that kind of plugins you do the same? Why? Take a look through your plugins, and seeing that you really need. I've seen sites with SEO and SEO Plugin Yoast in all the One. Choose one! Delete the other. If you can find a plugin that will do the job of 2 or 3 of your other plugins - use once. A large number of plugins will slow your site down, and possibly break. If you can get the same things you do with 4 connectors rather than 8, and then make some changes!

Step 3 - Update: Well, if you had a serious addiction plug-in, which now has a much smaller list of plugins. Now is the time to go through this list and make sure your plugins are current. Of course, you want your WordPress to be the latest version, and you want the same for the plugins. New releases plugins are generally more reliable than older ones. Errors have been addressed and any compatibility problems with a new version of WordPress are generally fixed. If reduced plugins only necessary, then the update is the last step to take on its way to recovery. Also remember to remove unused plugins during this phase.

Hopefully now you are cured of their addiction plugin. excessive use of many plugins can be the bane of your website. They are attractive of course, but try to meet the need.

Like almost everything else that is fun - moderation is key.
