No idea about wordpress?

I have a website or two that I used as the basis for HTML templates. I noticed that there are many fresher wordpress themes HTML that issues these days, but when I go into wordpress, I am totally confused. Is there an idiots guide "to wordpress? Similar Works to create and upload files? I'm not understanding things. And I can use on my hosting account (I think Windows is a popular hosting site)? Programming was never my strong. If there are WYSIWYG editors could recommend that would be great.

In fact, http://www.wordpress.org/ WordPress site has good information. And there are thousands of WordPress blogs that are about WordPress itself. If you search you will read tutorial wordpress busy for about 10 years.
