How I can setup wordpress as my home page gatorhost?

Delete everything that made the "Site Builder" thing. If you created an index.html file with it - that always displayed first (most of the hosts are set to display the file index.html by default). WordPress functions with an index.php file, so try adding / index.php after your domain name (like example.com / index.php). If your installation of WP is still there, you should see the main blog page.
