How I can change the Web address of a site?

Hi, I'm working on making a website for my wedding. I'm pretty familiar with WordPress, so we settled there. However, I wanted to do it in one direction. Com. For example, say that is now on our website ourwedding.wordpress.com, and I want it to be www.ourwedding.com. I went through godaddy.com and purchased because it was much cheeper www.ourwedding.com to buy it through wordpress. There may, however, now way to get my website hosted by wordpress for www.ourwedding.com would be very, very, very grateful to anyone who could help. I tried to read the instructions and help pages on the transfer of DNS etc, but these are too technical for me to understand, I need a "for dummies" version of this! Thanks in advance!
