Free iPhone Applications

Tumblr iPhone app , too Tumblr called, has been updated to version 1.1 today. However, while a 0.1 update in general, mean bug fixes or updated less, in this case actually Tumblr 1.1 includes several new important features. If you have a Tumblr site and an iPhone, you can not go wrong with this book, but implementation very well done.

For those not familiar with Tumblr, which is the main actor in the "Mini-blog" or market "tumblelog" now competing with Posterous. Mini-blogging is a step between the "micro-blogging" (ie, Twitter, FriendFeed) and traditional blogs (ie, WordPress, Blogspot, this site, etc..) Mini-blogging is typically short and frequent, mixed with the narrative of little or no messages. The idea is to quickly share some media in a way that is more than a post on Twitter, but not exactly a full blog.

This update includes several fixes in effect errors, but also brings the application for the iPhone closer to the full Web experience. iPhone 3G owners can now upload videos using the application. Editing previous posts, it is now possible from the iPhone, as well as the ability to specify the labels of the messages, post an entry as a draft, private, or even schedule it for later. Previously, a "project" was a local post in the iPhone until they are published. Now when you "publish" as a project, is saved to your Tumblr account as a draft, ready to be edited and / or subsequent publication.

The following are the new features in Tumblr 1.1 iPhone as shown in the description of the application from the App Store.

Video messages. Choose from your camera roll or the capture of a new video right from the application (only iPhone 3G).
The original edition. Need to add or update a label put on the road? Only you have to press the button 'Edit' in a position in the dashboard to load it into a source entry editor.
Revised Sheet Panel (replaces to the Sites tab). Check all your messages of each of Tumblr blogs, including projects and tails.
Posts rewritten Advanced Options. The new support for saving as a project, add to the queue, publish, Custom URL, send to Twitter, and a question.
Search. Supports searches by Tumblr, on your desktop, or a single messages (per blog).
Integrated web browser. No more losing your place on the panel.
After loading the state. Never wonder how long after the audio is going to take it again.
New marker for the links.
After geotagging.
Reblog Capacity messages from others.

I tried the new publication and search features, along with the new search function and I must say it's sneaky! I love using Tumblr tumblelog for my staff, and really this update improves the mobile experience. I will probably be more enthusiastic about updating my Tumblr site, while on the road now that I can have more control over each position.
