Can you help me WordPress blogs of age without WXR file?

so I'm tryign to get my old messages to display on my new blog. I uploaded all my old junk for ftp wordpress just changed the settings thinking that the work itself is what is supposed to export a file WXR and I just what was on the server since it was not know the words to ask my question I do not understand where all the real content of all this junk wp wp-content? load not all my photos and made a new folder for the blog I posted today for what is happening in the same place as the old stuff and I need to get things to show age makes no sense? in wordpress i go to Tools and then import and do not know what files to import

The actual content is in a database, you will not be able to FTP. It is an old blog still functioning? If so, export from there. WXR file will be produced for you. If not, you'll having to copy the database to a new one in the new location, and WordPress has no tools to do so.
