How to blog: a step by step guide to create and market your own blog
How to blog: a step by step to create and promote their BLOG
What is a blog?
A blog is a type of website or part of a website. A swamp is often maintained by someone who makes regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even send messages through widgets on blogs and this is what distinguishes the interaction from other sites Static web. A typical blog combines text, images and links to other blogs, web pages and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is a large part of a blog.
The most important part of any blog is what I have to say and how you say it. People inevitably return to your blog if the topic to write and the style in which you write it attracts them. With this in mind, your blog must be written in a tone appropriate to the subject of the blog. Keep it nice with the to invite interaction through blog comments and links to your blog from other bloggers who like what you write.
Choose a niche and domain names
If you are creating a blog with the intention of making money, you need to find a profitable niche. Let us assume that the sale of hair care products is a potentially profitable niche. A possible search term that someone might use for a hair care product can be "shampoo for hair," so an appropriate domain name would haircareshampoo.com. You can check availability of domain names Hostgator. Com, and you can also buy your domain name there.
What blog software to use?
There are a number of popular blogging software around, including Blogger and WordPress. My favorite is WordPress - in fact, I created this blog with WordPress, and that is what I used to help set up a blog - it's easy to use and has many powerful features, such as plug-ins and a web template system that uses a template processor.
Steps for installing WordPress on BlueHost:
- Go to your new blog website. (Http: / / www.yourDomain.com)
- Click "Cpanel login." If you do not see this option, go to "www.yourDomainNameHere.com / cpanel".
- Enter your username and password chose when you purchased your web hosting. You must be on file BLOG.
- Scroll to "Software / Services".
- Click in "simple scripts."
- Click on the icon of WordPress.
- Choose the latest version of WordPress. (The number higher the most recent.)
- Click "Install Now".
- Select your domain name.
- Leave the "folder" empty box.
- Give your site a name. This is the name of your blog, you say, "My Hair Care Blog." In general, the same name as your domain name.
- Enter a slogan - phrase of the title. This will be like brand image, ie, "The place to learn all about the ducks." (You can easily change later, so do not worry about it being perfect now.)
- Uncheck the box next to "Generate Admin Login". This way you can choose your own.
- Choose your admin username and password. This is to access your control panel WordPress to write their messages and setting up your blog. The best thing is that this is different from your username and password for Cpanel.
- Leave "create automatically a new database "checked.
- Check the legal agreement.
- Click "Complete".
You will then receive a confirmation email BlueHost (your server) with the user name and password you have chosen, plus any other information you need power.
WordPress Login panel.
WordPress panel is where you control everything about your blog including writing posts and customize the look of your blog.
- To log in, go to: "YourDomain.com / wp-admin" in your browser.
- WordPress Login Dashboard enter username and passsword you set in step 5.
Creating a blog design that reflects the image of your blog.
It is important to create a design that reflects the content and image of your blog - from the source of your color choices, make sure that each element of the overall design of your blog is consistent with his image of the blog. For example, a blog on marketing could be confused in the minds of the readers if the design blog includes clip art, fonts and balloon glow effects.
In WordPress, the overall look of your blog can be determined by the subject you choose. There are many issues free where you can make a selection. Other elements that are often a blog are:
- About Me
- Categories
- Posts
- Contact
Install a theme
Under the guise, click Themes and then install issues. From from here you can navigate through a series of different themes that you can select one that is happy with.
Installing plugins
- Download plug-in and save it to your computer.
- Open the compressed file.
- Click "Extract all files"
- Upload files or folder to "wp-content/plugins" in the "remote server" via FTP to FileZilla.
- WordPress On the desktop, click in "Plugins"
