WordPress Tag Page

In wordpress, how do they do for posts to show only a place of summmary the full story?
I am using the free online blog WordPress and created a static front page. The second page is for jobs, but the entire message is displayed for each and All I want is a summary. I have already set the "Read Configuration" to display a summary, but nothing happened. I have tried google, but all found something on the labels and index.php. How to use the label more or where I can find the index.php? I know almost nothing about the blog as simple directions welcome!
Hey man, it is likely that the configuration of reading> being overcome by the subject. Go through the settings on your subject with care and seek a choice for the entire message / extract. There is a button to insert a label reading in your post / page editor, is just to the right link buttons in the visual editor. Hope that helps.
