You can also set a specific category for mail files, and you might consider using a keyword that relates to your blog instead of the default, which is usually the word "file". Fintan Darragh of www.dech.co.uk has a very good blog called "Ultimate WordPress SEO Tips" (http://www.dech.co.uk/2005/11/ultimate-WordPress-seo-tips/). Mr. Darragh talks permalink optimization and says: "The goal: stick more keywords up into the URL and remove the faff which nobody uses, to make the search engine URL and attractive people. Start Blogging
The best thing to do is start blogging. Go ahead and then to your taste and write write, write about it. The more content you can provide the best and it seems like adding content on a regular basis helps a lot, too. Feel free to link to other blog posts that are related to the subject you are writing about. For example, before posting a message, go to your favorite search engine Blog and find another recent post on the subject, and the same link to the message. Link to other bloggers will get their attention, and I hope it will end up linking to you too. If other bloggers have trackbacks turned on then your blog will link back to your post. Some links are moderated so it might take some time before your link appears on the other blog. And some bloggers have trackbacks turned off, so that a link to your site can have some kind of manual intervention. Categorize your messages as much as possible, and feel free to add categories such as blogs, which will help the internal linking structure of your site, and help search engines and users find the subject of the messages.

Promoting Your Blog
Every time you make a post on his blog, blog software will attempt to ping certain sites to let them know you just updated your blog. There are many blog ping services out there, including Ping-O-Matic Pingoat. The software of your blog can be configured to ping sites automatically, and have published a list of WordPress services to ping blog (Http: / / www.corporatewebsitemarketing.info / cwm / WordPress-ping-list). If your blog is new or you would like to get some more links you can submit your blog to blog directories and other sites that list your blog (do not forget send DMOZ.org, Yahoo Directory, and the best blog directories on the web). About.com has a great article about promoting a blog (http://weblogs.about.com/cs/blogpromotions/a/promoteblog.htm) and even Biz Stone has a great tutorial about promoting your blog (http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py? answer = 1060). Finally, do not forget to activate the RSS feed your blog. And if you're looking to promote your RSS feed, try to find a search engine to "promote rss" to find plenty of good tutorials.

Promoting your blog is like promoting a website, you need good content spiderable, links to your content, and configuration is required to make blog software advantage of all the great features. There are also plugins that will help make blogging easier for us all.
