How to edit a flash header that I have received as part of a theme site?

I just installed a WordPress theme with a header flash large. I have to change the text and links in the header. Please let me know the best way to do this and what program I need. The site is the subject says you need Adobe Flash 8 +, I'm not exactly sure what it is, however (it was not clear on the Adobe website). Is there a program I need to buy? If expensive alternatives are available? This is a one time thing to buy a great software is not in my budget plans. Thank you. ps. a link to a simple online tutorial would be welcome too:)
