Should I use WordPress to make a site if you want a shopping cart from PayPal?

I've heard of some who, because WordPress was not made for shopping carts, which can have problems, but others have told me that is a simple matter of copying and pasting. I tried adding a test button on a of my WordPress sites, but did not work. I must find a way to do work in WordPress, or just make a site HTML / CSS?
