WordPress is probably the best interface for anyone who wants to set up a blog-style website, but has little or no knowledge of HTML coding. I had to write html code for generating web sites when I was in college. When WordPress was born, which is heaven for many. Personally, I think it was one of the key reasons WordPress for an explosion of websites launched in the last decade.

The following are essential WordPress plugins for anyone who wants to monetize a website, especially one with a style blog.

1. Akismet

Most blog-style website has a comment field in the bottom of each post that allows readers to leave your suggestions or comments. These Comments are ideal for SEO traffic. However, the comment box is also a magnet for spam.

Akismet is a plugin that checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they are viewed as spam and lets you review the comments before approving it. To activate Akismet API key is required to WordPress.com, which is free Web sites for personal use.

3. Google Sitemaps Plugin

Google Sitemaps XML make a complaint Sitemap of your WordPress blog. It is compatible with all the WordPress generated pages as well as custom has created others. The beauty of this plugin is that every time you create or edit a message, the map is automatically updated and all major search engines support the Sitemap protocol as ASK.com, Google, MSN and Yahoo are notified the update.

This simply means that the pages of the blog will be SEO friendly.

4. Google Adsense

This plugin provides an easy way to generate revenue from your blog through Google AdSense. This is a very simple and yet virtually maintenance-free way of generating income liabilities from your blog. After you install and activate the plugin, go to the widgets in the appearance and then add the Adsense tool in the sidebar or anywhere you like in your blog.

Before installing this plugin, please make sure you have an approved AdSense account from Google, which can be a painful process for some, because Google ruthlessly reject your request if you think you are generating waste sites.
