SQL databases - which is the easiest application to create and publish web?

I can build and manage websites for friends and family - Some custom-made and some through wordpress. I like to improve my skills to be able to create database applications with web-based. I guess the best technologies for doing this are SQL and PHP, but I'm open to suggestions, although I'm not interested in using a third party website hosted - I want to create the database for me same. Here's the trick. Although I am quite familiar with HTML, CSS, etc, I'm not interested in writing a lot of code / SQL, etc. I would much prefer WYSIWYG approach, presenting things visually - it's like my brain is wired! I would love any suggestions on how best to advance and improve my skills. What applications should I use? What technologies should I use?

There is no way to avoid programming I have fear! I think the best is to create a web server on your computer and hone your skills that way. Wampserver and XXAMP are packages that include MySQL, PHP, phpMyAdmin and Apache web server. Very easy to install and can start creating databases immediately by GUI phpMyAdmin. I recommend the practice of creating simple databases using phpMyAdmin and use it as a platform to develop their SQL skills (can write SQL statements directly in phpMyAdmin - it really is a great way to learn). Doing things in the correct order actually is the key ... but you know many people experienced these steps seem to have forgotten! That's why we do not usually know the importance of doing things this way So I recommend starting with the installation or Wampserver XXAMP (I use Wampserver). Then, create a simple database using the graphical user interface of phpMyAdmin. It then queries the database (retrieve, update, modify) with SQL statements. Only once you have this knowledge in their belt will be ready to integrate their knowledge with PHP, so it is available on the server databases and display the results in PHP web pages. W3Schools is a good resource to start.
