Make a website with WordPress?

I want to create a media / press / music artist site collection and I decided to do it with WordPress, because I was informed that it was an easy CMS to get the hang of. I also heard that WordPress is more than one type of blogging CMS, but if I want make a complete collection of content from different artists (for example) how would I do this so that visitors can navigate through it easily? If I kept posting messages over and over again in different artists, just fill the page. How can I make so you can create individual article artist in a more organized? So basically I'm going to make a website with probably hundreds of pages, so how I can organize this WordPress?

Hey ck, I will expand Julie's response is here. When it comes to adding content to a WordPress site, some people fail to understand the concept. The first impulse is to continue adding to an existing message. This is wrong for the reason you mentioned, and because you will not be able to take advantage of the structure WordPress offers. For the site you mentioned, you should take some time to plan your structure. For example, you could have a category for each gender, and artists in each of these categories. Or more to break a gender category, and the artist, with messages for each artist. Check out similar sites to get an idea of how. It's good that you are thinking of sailing in what could be a very sturdy. That puts you ahead of the game. Good luck.
