Please help with WordPress!?

So I'm making a website for my school, and a friend suggested I make wise technology a site on wordpress.com, but I realized that there is no plugin? I've read about the fact that wordpress.com and wordpress.org two different sites, but in reality I want to make a photo album on wordpress.com, because I've already started, it is possible or not? And if not, then how can a website wordpress.org? Please help!
