WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com?
Com. Seems pretty simple, while the org. It's kind of weird thing, download seemingly complicated. They are basically two the same in the end? What about the difference between subscriptions and plugins and other things .. I'm so confused .. So what is really the point of WordPress.org then? And I do not really matter what. o. org com say it was not my question.
WordPress.org point is that it is a package of open source software you can download, upload your own UNIX-based web server, and run. So while you get some interesting features yourname.wordpress.com and not you can put a blog on wordpress.com yourname.com. You can also customize the code to change theme style, climbing one of the thousands of free themes, plugins or widgets. The wordpress.org software is written in PHP and uses a MySQL database to maintain the server. This makes it ideal for web developers to customize and expand as a community. There are thousands of free themes and plugins available for it. Org version as open source software means that anyone access, modify and contribute to the pool code and add-ons. To customize the website design on wordpress.com, you have to buy an Update CSS. Therefore, wordpress.com is for beginner blogger just want to start posting. WordPress.org is for the advanced user, or someone that requires WordPress to be hosted on your own domain name (. Com,. Net, etc.) is completely customizable, and able to use the available themes and open source plugins written by other users wordpress.org.
