Hmm, do not know who told that WordPress requires you to make blog posts, because that is not true. To use WordPress as a web site just created two new pages, call a page "Welcome" (this will be your new home page, you can put a text if desired) and a page called "blog" (leave this page completely blank, no text). Once you have created two new pages, go to "Settings"> "Reading" and you will see: "It appears as their "Home." Go down to the "Posts page" and select "blog." Now the "Welcome" is your page Start (cover) and "blog" page is where messages. Now all you have to do is go to "Appearance"> "Menus" to create a custom menu and do not include the "blog" in your menu and your done. Otherwise, delete the "blog" page but in general not recommended to do this (which should be later). However, if you're already using another CMS I recommend Joomla, Drupal and DotNetNuke (for Windows) also I've heard good things about CMS Made Simple. My opinion, go with WordPress because it already knows and does everything you need. Hope this helps
