WordPress Plugins Not Updating

I have a problem with my wordpress? plz plz help me?

While everyone knows about the update 2.8 of wordpress right, but I can not upgrade to I even know what version I have, I know you can check the version of the dashboard, but every time I look in the dashboard that dosnt me also say the only way I can improve is the automatic update and I can not because my account doesn't say upgrade to 2.8 and I can not update the Cuse otherwise I have no money or time, and I know I have a version less than 2.8 because I have the plugin tab in my account please someone help me my blog is trickshack.wordpress.com please help find a way to update
