WordPress - Why and how to use
WordPress is one of the most widely used publishing platforms on the web today and there are many reasons for it. I'll try to explain some of them and enter into the process a little deeper. Hope this will help potential customers to a better understanding of the power of WordPress and how you can use to take your business to the next level, increase brand awareness and help you better position than the competition. Moreover, for all you from a web design company for your account, will clarify some things and hope you can help with choosing the right tools for trade and media to handle them without losing valuable time.
He currently lives and work pace is definitely hard to keep up sometimes and so you do not want to lose time on the things you can do more quickly and efficiently. One of the most important things in this sense is a web presence. I do not go into all the reasons which is true - there are many articles on the web that explain this in detail. It is a fact that small and large companies alike need an effective way of creating and updating your website - keeping their name alive and thoughts in the virtual world - and here's where things have changed in the last couple of years. Static HTML websites are you in the past. Dynamic content, with the participation took the web by storm. One of the most important things that have made this possible is the existence Systems Content Management - software for managing large amounts of data and other HTML. Basically, a Web CMS is a web site server. It allows you to manipulate content, categories, tags and add new features to the site to make it even more interactive.
Blogging platform or CMS?
Woprdpress began as a blogging platform for the most part, but over time, due to its ease of use and powerful free tools that can be implemented, gained momentum as a CMS for the creation of any website, large or small. First - it's completely free - all you need to do to try is to get an account at wordpress.com, take the time to fix things and you're ready to start writing! If you know how to use Microsoft Word or any other similar product, so an article about WordPress is going to be a piece of cake.
WordPress is also very search engine friendly. The whole system is set up with SEO in mind, allowing you to concentrate what you do best. If writing or design, can take care of their own work and not worry too much about things you do not care or do not have the time to resolve. If you have quality content, will ensure that WP is optimized to give the best possible results and rank your site as high as possible. Of course, not I'm saying that SEO can be done outside of the box - but it is very useful to establish some of the most important things with a click of a button and a very intuitive (Like writing descriptions and excerpts from a text box itself, the establishment of permanent links to an SEO-friendly, canonical, etc..) Search Engine Optimization is more important every day, and became a science of it's own, so that the site SEO is only part of it. More information about the site and outside facilities SEO techniques will be published in future articles.
Free themes and plugins
Since its inception in May 2003, more than 200 million websites using WordPress (data from Wikipedia). There is a great community with new designed WordPress themes every day. In the backend of your website, simply Clicking a tab, go through the repository of available topics, preview, and activate a theme in minutes. Or you can upload a zip file downloaded from anywhere on the web and in it.
Depending on the topic you choose, you will have more time to prepare everything the way you want it, so is a good idea to ask yourself: "What do you need a website?". Usability is a key feature of each site, whether it's going to be a site of a contact page, information, blog, e-commerce site or a multimedia magazine, we must take into account the purpose and select the item on the basis that. No bells and whistles that have no function for you or your company, even if first class state of the art technology, or animation striking, I always think: "Does it add real value to what I'm trying to accomplish?". It is a trap that one can easily fall at. Trust me, when I started using WordPress, one of the most appealing things to do was go to the warehouse and preview all possible subjects, only to discover lost more than a couple of hours of testing and a preview of all kinds of different designs. And I did not even have any content!
There are two types of WP themes - free and paid. More and more developers are turning to issue a free model with premium support and there are nice themes out there.
Another important part good power of WordPress website are complements. These are extensions of the basic functionality that can be installed and manipulated independently and used to improve the overall performance, design, monitoring, etc. WordPress plugins are mostly free, but there are also high quality supplements, but so far I have used only one or two top quality plugins that were actually worth the money (usually most of the themes and plugins below the cost premium of $ 100).
There is a real danger lurking in the background of the use of plug-in, not only on the PT, but also on other platforms. Do not abuse them. Use only accessories that you really need, or consider finding hooks or filters that are lighter and only the functionality you need. all modules installed in a timely results load longer, more requests to the server and can slow down your website. Users are not patient. Will disappear and never come back, if the load time takes about seconds longer than they expect.
Widgets
Another improtant part in wordpress development is the use of widgets. Widgets are basically used primarily plugins in the sidebars or other areas flash ready. They can be easily arranged through a drag and drop interface, and usually have a setting their own year, can refine and improve the overall appearance of your site.
Since I'm primarily a designer, WordPress really fills the void that desperately needed. Finally I am able to design and implement quickly and effectively with all the features you need and do everything only with the knowledge HTML, CSS, wordpress conditional tags and use Google for everything else I do not know about.
The appearance of the frames and the fact that this child topics process even better and more exciting. The frames are basically the issues that get a lot of nice features and accelerate the design and coding. That make it easier for the developer to perform repetitive tasks and keep the code clean and elegant at the same time. They give a good starting point and usually have a community willing to help if you run into problems. Some of the best frames are WP: Hybrid theme, and Sandbox.
This is only the information Basic should be enough to start with the use of WP, or at least consider using it in the future. Please let me know your opinion - which adds the new wordpress article to the category Atraktor study site, so any suggestions, questions and comments are welcome.
