Backup Files WordPress - The Super Easy Way

You should always make backups on three important elements of your site.

1. Database

2. wp_content folder - which has its themes, plug-ins and loaded content

3. wp_config.php file - which has its information access.

I know it seems like a huge task to have a backup of this information, but believe me, if something goes wrong, you will be happy I did.

Let's look at the backup database first. There is a simple and automated backups of database that is much better than doing it manually. A manual backup, I admit, a lot of work. WordPress offers a great plugin that backs up the database a breeze.

To install the plugin, go to Plugins, Add New, then look for WP-DB-Backup (Austin Matzko). Click Install Now, and activate it. The backup plugin database appear under Tools in your WordPress dashboard. Therefore, click Tools and then Backup. This plugin, by default, copy security database. Even copies of your spam in the comments and subsequent revisions. You can exclude those checking the boxes, but I suggest you leave them in the has a complete copy of everything I had.

Then you have two options for backups. It can backup immediately or schedule backups. I suggest that the backup program. When you add content to your blog or site on a daily basis, choose once every hour or two times daily or one time. If you publish once a week, then a weekly backup should be sufficient. You may want to set up a gmail account to receive e-mails of support if you make a backup of hours or days as you will continue to receive e-mails of security, which can become irritating after a while. Therefore, type in your email address and scheduled backup, click. You can also run a backup immediately, go to the Backup options and the choice of backup email to your email address and click Backup Now.

So that's the way to backup your database files of WordPress. Step 2 is to back up the themes, plug-ins and content loaded. These are located in the folder of wp_content. You need to create a folder on your computer that is specifically for these files from backup. WPbackup You can call and where you will be able to find it later, as in the document library, or anywhere. This is the folder where to place the backup files. The way is through using your FTP, browse the files on your blog, find a folder called wp_content, and simply drag the folder in the folder wp_content new backup on your computer. This allows you to backup your themes and plugins, as well as all other files you uploaded to your site, including videos, photos. even back up all the updates for your theme and plugins. I recommend making a backup copy of it at least once a month, just drag the folder of your FTP wp_content new folder backup on your computer. just overwrite the old contents and add new content. You can even date the backups so that you know when you made your last backup. Once a month is enough.

The third step is to backup your login information. Go back to your FTP client and find a file called wp_config.php. Drag it to the backup folder. This file contains settings WordPress Code that shows how you communicate with your database. It is important to back up this file because if a disaster occurs and completely blocks WordPress, you can replace every file in the installation WordPress except for file and folder wp_content wp_config.php. By placing these files in the backup, WordPress will rise and the job properly. Therefore, if disaster strikes, all you have to do is clean your FTP all the files, then bring in a fresh copy of WordPress, then bring in your file wp_config.php wp_content backup and your wallet. Then everything returns to normal.

Run full backup and continuous data base, themes, and files, along with access files will ensure that if something goes wrong on your site or blog, you can always recover quickly. Backing may seem a nuisance, but if something goes wrong and your website or blog is gone, you'll be very glad you did.
