What do you think about using WordPress as a basis for e-commerce site?

Is it feasible to use WordPress to run a site eTail? I'm thinking of using WordPress as a CMS to run an ecommerce site. I know that is not technically a CMS, and at first I thought it would be a very large, as it is designed for blogs. Now that I've used several different CMS like Joomla, Mambo, osCommerce, ZenCart to name a few, but the more I think about using WordPress, the more I see some very good points. Take, for example, one of the most used content management systems means that more people is familiar with it, and is (in theory) is developing faster than other content management systems, which in turn means that there are more plugins and features being developed and integrated. Any thoughts, ideas, experiences or suggestions, just shoot me, I'd love to hear them.

It is possible, but you need a web hosting provider support WordPress, Joomla, Mambo, osCommerce and Zen Cart. Blogger does not support all these features.
