¿I can use WordPress to create a web site created by the user and customs matters in the office?

I know that WordPress is primarily for the creation blogs, and can be used for other functions by using plugins. The website I'm thinking of setting has two main functions that I'm not sure if WordPress can do: 1. Custom fields in the messages: While the title is put on WordPress content and date. Need more fields on my website. I mean every post to do (let's say my website is about events in the city) must have: title, venue, time of the event and event description (the content). How I can add custom fileds of the location and time? 2. I need so users can add messages ("events") is my web site, can this be done with WordPress? I have really wanted to use WordPress because of its ease of use, but I'm not sure whether it can meet above. Please guide me.

This is easily done in WordPress, in fact there are already plugins for that purpose. For custom fields, there are a lot plugins for this.
