Adding WordPress plugin map generator?

I want to download the WordPress plugin sitemap for my website, but confussing me a bit. Step 2 takes this into the FTP clients and chmod. I have no idea how to configure everything. Generally, plugins are easy to use .. I am hosting on GoDaddy and use your customer FTP. Is there an easy way to do this?

WordPress instructions are for people in all types of systems (Unix, Linux, etc). To configure it for you is fairly easy. 1. Download the file http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/ 2. Unzip the file to your desktop 3. Open Notepad 4. Save the blank document as sitemap.xml to your desktop 5. Save it again as sitemap.xml.gz 6. Login to your account online and go to godaddy FTP 7. Upload the unzipped folder in the plugins folder 8. Sitemap.xml and upload both files sitemap.xml.gz your home directory (which contains the file wp-config.php) 9. Access your sites control panel, go to Plugins and activate the new plugin. 10. Go to Control Panel>> Options and select xml-map 11. At the top should say "create a map of the first 'o something. 12. Select that option and you will create the sitemaps and notify search engines. Your done! You can change various properties of site maps if desired. I leave in case of default, except I added categories such as a field Let me know if you have any other questions;)
