How to automatically install WordPress plugins

WordPress Plugins give you an incredible ability to extend the power of WordPress. You can install and start using any of the thousands of plugins to bring a wide range of functionality to your website. There are plugins for e-commerce, SEO, banners, analysis, management users, integration with email lists, display galleries of images, incorporating audio or video, and so again and again.

But there Is nothing if you are not using them! The good news is that finding and installing WordPress Plugins That could not be easier. In this How-To Article let's take a look step by step to how you can automatically find and install plugins directly from within WordPress. Let's start.

Step 1: WordPress Log in

Go to the WordPress administration center as you would if you're adding a new page or message and login as an administrator.

Step 2: Go to the Plugins tab

This will bring up a list of all plugins are already installed. You can find a couple in there called "Hello Dolly" and "Askimet" even if you've never downloaded a plugin before, that come pre-installed with WordPress. In the top of this page you will find an "Add New" you can click to start looking for the plugin to include.

Step 3: Find your Plugin

If you are looking for a specific plugin, then you can find the name of the plugin. You can also search more general terms to try to find a plugin for a specific need that you have on your site. For example, let's see the plugin to exclude pages. This simple, yet endlessly useful plugin, allows you to create pages not found in normal navigation. This is great for creating these pages as a thank you page (for after someone send a contact form, for example) where no point having visitors to navigate directly. For this plugin, just search for "Pages exlude" and you should be at the top of the list.

Step 4: Install the plugin - automatically!

Under the column "Actions" is a link called "Install". Click this link for more information about this plugin and install it. You want to make sure that the plugin is compatible with your version of WordPress, though plugins usually work well for later. You also want to check that the mean score is pretty decent, the plugin was downloaded a significant amount of time, and plugin the plugin author updates regularly. These are all good signs that the supplement is being actively maintained and should work without problems.

When ready to install the plugin simply click on the Update Now button to install. It automatically start the process of downloading and installing the plugin in WordPress. Simply click on "Activate Plugin" link to begin using the plugin.

Step 5: Use the plug-in

Plugins are controlled in different ways. Most of them will create a new option in Tools or setting to control the plugin options, others create their own tab in the Administration Center, and some simply add a new option in some instead of the Administration Center. In our example, using the plugin to exclude pages, you can navigate to a page through Messages> Edit (or Add New) and see the new panel called "exclude pages" where you can click the check box to include or exclude the general page, navigation. Simple!
