How I can make my flash ready WordPress blog?

I'm trying to find the code to add to the sidebar.php that allows me to use widgets and I need to know if I have to change php files others .. I'm using 2.2.1 I used a code I found somewhere, but only added the sidebar.php and I can only use the calendar widget. When I try to add any other format of the sidebar is all the strands of hay. TIA
