Add an HTML site to a WordPress website

Here are some easy instructions on adding a site map to HTML WordPress website.

After scouring the web and I almost had a headache I found a solution, which is expected to save others about the pain head.

I'll walk a little to begin with, to get to the crux of the problem easier, but you're welcome to jump right to the following formula.

You see, when you find the site offering the code for a WordPress HTML map, that provides all the information, but it is all the information about implement it - this was the most frustrating.

So it was armed with the 'plugin' code and the "short code" to activate the site map, but not actually get the installation instructions: "Add the abbreviated code of the page (s) of your choice." You see a map of the HTML is a single page, should not be added to certain pages, should usually be on a page entitled sitmap.php / htm / html & c.

I wanted my sitemap to be linked from the bottom of each page.

So you need to start with the 'plugin' of code, courtesy of Angelo Mandate , there are 3 options: you can download the ZIP Code here , or go to the installation site, where in the top right of the page is a red button, or follow the instructions below, I've said to be easier.

Be easier I advise you to log on to your desktop Worpress and click "Plugins" (left menu), a small drop down menu shows "Create New ", click here on this page is a search box, type 'HTML site' and click on" Plugins "search. At the top of the list you see "HTML Sitemap Home ', '1 .1.1 version" - click on install.

Well, first three completed jobs.

Now to create interaction between the 'plugin' and 'short', which is [html-map], you must first click on "Pages" (in the menu on the left) of your WordPress dashboard, drop down menu you will click on "Add New "will create the new site map page. Where requests 'title' enter 'Map', the" content "box you need to add the "Short", which is [html-map], be sure to use brackets. Now I do not want this page in the main navigation bar, is advisable to give a parent, so on the 'Attributes' (right menu), click "no parent" fall down and put it under "Additional Information" or something similar, click on 'publish the page.

Good 2 of 3 works performed.

Now we need to get the site map visible on each page. WordPress back panel, click the menu on the left in "Appearance" from the menu down offers 'Editor' link, click this. In the menu on the right page again all the "template" in the list, go down until you find "Footer (footer.php), click on this and see the contents of your site footer links. Most likely you have following in the footer since:

Right after this add the following:

Naturally, change the 'mywebsite' your own website and community. a. of,. nl or co.uk.. Click "Update File" button in blue.

That work completed March 3.

Go to your web site, press the "F5" key, you may have to do this twice (the computers for you), and in the footer must now link to see your newly created HTML sitemap for your website, click on the link to prove it, and you should find a well-designed site map index all pages of your site.

Now, of course, you may want to map the site to be more detailed, so I will refer back to the site of Angelo, which explains this further, but for me I just needed a good HTML sitemap clear and more headaches.
