WordPress Page Template Tutorial

blog on your website. However, I've never done a blog before (mostly because I never ordered). I've looked at WordPress and it looks very confusing and full uncustomizable (as you can not make your own custom page, and then just put a piece of code where you want a comments area, you have to use a template). Not sure about the details of what the customer wants, but I guess they want their new site to allow users to make comments. How I can do this? Does anyone know of an online blogging service or, more importantly, know of a tutorial you can use to configure this? Also, please do not include suggestions involving heavy programming or advanced. I am a designer, not a programmer. Thank you all in advance!
