How I can use javascript to rewrite the URLs on a page?

PPC Our company has found a way to rewrite the numbers I want to detect if the comment contains "http:// ..." and surround it with http:// ... I tried to adapt make_clickable WordPress' in PHP, but I'm basically destroying the HTML code before reaching this point. So I'm going to have to detect the URL, remove HTML character encoding, and add anchor around it. Any way to do this?
