uploading files to your wordpress.com blog?

Is it possible to upload a file to your wordpress.com blog to let your users download and make use of it? I want to load MS Office files such as Excel spreadsheets, is this possible? Thank you.

If it is a blog hosted by wordpress.com then I do not think is possible. you can always upload them elsewhere and then put a link to your blog to the location of the file to download. there are a few free file sites accommodation out there, just do a search for "free file hosting"
