PHP newbie, help with setting up Word Press theme for a client?

First, I am a student, freelance web design but to win extra money. I'm very good at HTML and have not had too much of a coding problem for my client site. But now she wants WordPress integrated, which is me causing to learn CSS and divs. Creating a WP theme is not very easy for a novice ... Can anyone show me a good place to explain to me how? Or could CSS hijack an existing thread and create that?

WordPress theme is very easy. can completely make a website with HTML and CSS, and not just basically slice up the encoding of the sum of its parts in php in selected sections. when looking at issues and you can see how each page is set. and how many files there. You can be the basis of these. otherwise you can find a topic and prepared in advance if you want or use a premade theme and practice or work out of it.
