WordPress Meta Plugin

Is it bad to have two sets of meta tags on a page?
Running a PHP WordPress -. Have keywords and description META at the top of the page, but also have a plugin that adds in META tags keywords and description of each position WordPress do. I wonder - With two sets of meta tags on one page, is this detrimental to the search engines pick the site up? Thanks!
It makes no well. Meta Tags are not worth anything these days, since none of the major search engines annoying to use, except in cases of 'description' tag. What is more relevant today is its title and keyword tags and key phrases that relate to the theme of each of their web pages. Think each web page as a website for himself. More importantly, try to get as many other quality bloggers needed to provide links to your blog. However, make sure that bloggers are related in content similar to what you're typing. Do not just get any old blog to link to you. Keep content fresh and updated and that is the quest for greater engine spiders visiting and indexing your site often. Good luck!
