If I can download wordpress 2.6.5 on my home server, how difficult it is to keep?

I am in the process of making a few blogs to generate income. Already have a server hostgator.com to house my blog and a marketing technique murderer. I do my blogs typical in the sense of blogs, and I also want add custom pages to my website (ie home, about, contact, links, photos, videos). On a scale of 1 to 10, how difficult it is to keep wordpress 2.6.5 on my home server? 10 points to best answer !!!!!! Thanks in advance, FW
