WordPress Mamp Tutorial

I've looked through tutorials and are a bit advanced for me with wording that is not for beginners. They say they need web hosting, as well as MySQL and PHP. Are these two in it? Cyberduck I have on my computer that I use to upload some files from my website online, but what is everything else? Once you say MySQL I need to make a new MySQL database and I also read of using MAMP or cPanel. What are they and what would be best to work a Mac?
