How to back up your WordPress database hosted by GoDaddy
Have you backed up your blog lately? It is important to make copies up your database, if your blog is compromised or corrupted. If you are using GoDaddy to host your WordPress blog, here are the simple steps to make backup data.
1. Login to your GoDaddy account.
After logged in, go to the left side bar and choose my products, Hosting.
2. Go to Products> Web Hosting.
In this section, choose the domain name (hosting account) you want to perform backups. Then click the bright green button release. You should now be redirected to a new window. This is the Hosting Control Center.
3. Click the Database section.
In the hosting panel, there are three sections at the top - files, domains and email mail. Scroll down until you see the database section and click on it.
4. Click the SQL icon.
In GoDaddy, your data is stored in a SQL database. This database contains templates, blogs, almost all data from your blog. Click on the icon SQL and will be shown a list of databases.
5. In My SQL, select the database
Click on the Edit menu / button See details.
6. Click the Backup button.
Depending on the size of your database, it can take up to 2 hours Backup your data. The backup is stored through GoDaddy.
