Using WordPress to create a simple website

In this article, I will share with you how you can use this software to build a site small web business to market their services or products. The following five steps apply as long as you use the latest version of WordPress 3.

The first step is to plan your website design. You should write the sitemap for your website on a piece of paper so it is clear from the structure. For example, what are the names of the pages to create your site? If I am running an educational institution, I will want to have the pages - Home, We, the list of tutors, the subjects we teach and Contact.

The second step is to install WordPress on your server. You can register a web hosting account today with so many options available online. Most web hosting providers support the WordPress Software. You can also search Google for "web hosting consulting websprout to register a web hosting account to host your WordPress website.

Once you have the hosting account site, you can install WordPress, go to Cpanel and Fantastico or select QuickInstall and have installed your WordPress site within a couple of clicks!

The third step is to log on to the back-end (to go to / wp-admin folder) on the configuration of your new WordPress website to delete all messages. Since you are creating a simple website, you do not need the default message that comes with the installation. To delete all messages by default, just to enter the back-end and the selected messages. Move all messages to the trash to remove them. You may only delete a job since the installation is new.

The fourth step is to start creating the pages you want. To create the pages of your website, go to the bottom and click on "Pages" and then "Create New". This allows you to add the pages you want. Once the pages have been published, you'll see links to the pages appearing in the top navigation bar. It's that simple!

The last step is to create a page as your home page. For so, go to "Settings" and then "read" in the back-end. Under "Show on Front Page 'select' A static page "and choose the page you want as the home page to be displayed on the home page by default.
