Can you add more than one post in a WordPress page?

When you add a new page can publish more than one position in the new page? I'm starting a blog and my main page I would like all my posts and then another page is a place to post information provide links to additional or copyright / trademark credit or additional photos to the information posted on the homepage. The home page will be about the kitchen and I want another page to create links to recipes and information about substitutions or information related to allergies and etc

In the administration area> Settings> reading you can choose how many messages you want displayed on your home page - provides that any number you want. You can also choose whether to display an excerpt of each post or the whole thing. Then the other things you mention creating "pages" (not posts) and appear in the menu bar, I would suggest also create categories for all the messages of the food (chicken, vegetarian casserole, etc) to help readers to find specific recipes or information. [A post on a chicken stew been both "Chicken" and "casserole" for example] This also help you if you decide to design a blog in a different way in the future.
