WordPress Index Page Code

Does anyone know why this code in my htaccess wordpress site does not work?

Deny from 75.88.166.240 I tried that w / o of the first bar on each page Deny from 75.88.166.20 The IP address is my ISP address. I thought if I used my ISP in the code if the code works, then it would not be able visit the pages Thoss (terms of use, search, thank you) from my computer, but I can visit the pages on my computer.
