Using WordPress Anchors

NOTE: In all cases of code, you must remove the space after the <to work properly. The space must be included here so that the code can be viewed without problems.

I had to fight for a while trying to find a way for use in WordPress, but when it was so, it was simply a case of adding a little HTML. Here's how:

First, create all the text on your page, even when it is linked from (the list of frequently asked questions) of the examples and which is attached to (the anchor - a set of responses, for example). Please note that you can use anchors to link to another page altogether, so the link will not have to be on the same page as the anchor.

Create anchor

Once you have created the entire text, go to the place you want to place the anchor. This is more likely that a text, but can easily be an image or any another part of his message WordPress. Make sure you are in the HTML editor of your WYSIWYG editor, place the cursor before the text / image / code. Once there, have to "mark" the text so that the anchoring place specified. You must do this by placing the following code before the code / text, change word label for any string you choose (this can be descriptive, or simply a sequential numbering):

<A> Text and / or code from here ... </ A>

Repeat this process for each part of the page you want to anchor, with a different label for each.

Create link

Now that the anchor is in place, you are ready to create the link to it. This is done by using the HTML href tag. As such, the Use can use relative or absolute links accordingly. The href tag syntax is as follows:

<A Href = a"> "URL that links the text link to URL </ a>

Therefore, in this case, you create a link like this, replacing the relevant parts to fit your application:

<A Href = "# http://www.yourdomain.com/faqs/ etiqueta"> to anchor link text </ a>

If the link and the anchor on the same page yet, you can use a relative URL, which involves removing everything between the first quotation marks (") and the pound symbol (#), href leaving much simpler:

<A Href = "# etiqueta"> anchor text link </ a>

Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions, but even more, let me know if this helped you out.
