GoDaddy folder then I can register a domain and hosting? How would I go about doing this.

Hi Derek, I use the same configuration, but I use GoDaddy for domain registration. I for installation of WordPress. You could use that too. If you have significant content in their local site, you can export WordPress into a file and then import that file in your site online. Check the Tools menu in WordPress for this. You probably know that most of the WordPress settings, including plug-in and theme settings are in the database. I made the mistake of export and import of the WordPress database. One of the problems you will have with it is your URL is incorrect on your website as reference localhost instead of your domain in vivo. That's why location. Hosting: GoDaddy is a great domain registration, but not a good long term option for a web hosting service (in my opinion). I have seen many cases of people who have trouble with GoDaddy accommodation. There is some logic to keep your domain registration and accommodation separately, too. A good "shared hosting" service would be a better option if you can afford. I recommend and use Hostgator http://www.hostgator.com. Their cheapest plan is about $ 8/month. Hope this helps answer your question. Better of luck in all your future projects.
