Getting Started Blogging, even if you do not know where to start
Someone recently asked me a simple question: "How I can start blogging? "That question reminds me that sometimes we are so involved in online marketing details that those of us who forget to teach it back to basics. However, often these basic building blocks are exactly what our audience needs. Blogging is a perfect example of this.
There are a lot information that is in the tips of the blogs, how to publicize your blog, how to make money with your blog, how to link to your blog with social networking and so on. But what if you only have the essentials for what can only be implemented? Sometimes the basics just lost in the sea of information. This is what you need know to be on your way. (And yes, there are others who say that there are other ways to do so. However, in my own experience and to help others get started, these steps will to set right.)
1) Choose a blogging platform. This may sound scary if you're a rookie all blogs, but there are basically two types of options: organized by someone else, or hosted by you (. often referred to as self-organized) You may have heard of Blogger.com, which is a very easy to use option is hosted by Google. May be a good option in terms of its simplicity, but I recommend going with a self-hosted platform like WordPress. This can be downloaded for WordPress.org free. Self-organized as this options allow you to have much more control over your blog and give you much greater flexibility, what you want in the long run.
2) Choose a name for your blog. When you start, the only real costs associated with a blog is the domain name and hosting (which address below.) You can get domain name of a site like GoDaddy for less than $ 10.00 per year. But first, you have to think about what will be the name of your blog. An extension. Com is always preferable others like. network or information. and its name should reflect what the main focus of your blog. Also, try to stay away from domain names extra-long, or difficult to spell words if possible.
3) Choose a web host. With a self-hosted blog, you need a web hosting company to provide space on the server to access your website from. Usually, this service is relatively cheap for a smaller site, the average cost is about $ 60 - $ 100 year. If you already have a website and just want to add a blog to it, then you can stay with the host who has been using for that site. In many cases, people add a blog to your site simply by your webmaster to another page of the blog site, accessed from its domain, for example, www.mywebsite.com / blog. If your blog is independent and not connected to another site to install the blog software on your domain via FTP any free service can be found online, as Filezilla.
4) Start writing. Hopefully, at this point have taken the time to be quite clear on what you want to talk on his blog. Commit to writing your first message, which can be as short as 200 words, if you want to be. The idea is just for starters. Do not worry about getting a handful of readers and comments about the creation of an RSS feed, submit your site to directories, or customizing your theme. Those things are important, but can be investigated over time. Continue writing messages about topics that you think will be helpful to their market, and before you know it, the whole blog will be old hat.
