I am looking for software that allows group blogs and social networks?

I'm looking for something that combines the ability of blogs as tools group WordPress, with aspects of social networks like Ning tools. I want you to dozens of users registered to do a blog and comment, and also have profiles LinkedIn user and showing the connection between people. Pligg is near, but focuses more on the vote on the articles. Any suggestions? Free or non-free is fine, but I want to be able to host it on my own domain, so I do not think I quite Zimbio Squidoo or going to work. Thanks!
