Anatomy of a blog

Unlike blogs, a blog engine is not a single website. However, the engine consists of different parts that are organized in a very structured. First we will discuss what the different types of blogs are.

Type Blogs

In the real world, there are different types of blogs. I really do not mean your objective, but rather the category of content. In the following sections, we will see some of them and understand their needs.

General Blogs

When people say 'blog', usually means that the blogs that belong to this category. These blogs are usually text based, but contain a wealth of images and other media such as audio and video. These blogs are easy to maintain, lightweight, and are very popular for its simplicity. WordPress and Drupal are the engines in general blog.

Photo Blogs

Photoblogs or Phlogs special type of blogs are where a group of people or individuals who share your photos collected from various sources. These blogs are generally dedicated to a specific audience. The Most photoblogs are free. The usual topics are movies photoblogs, wars, herbs, natural beauty and even strange images, and so on, it is impossible to specify all of them. Professional photographers also share photos through their photoblogs blogs.In, images are the content main, we all know that a picture is worth a thousand words. Among the photoblogs, one of the most important is Photoblogs.org, which is developed by Brandon Stone. Photoblogs.org 15 blogs began in 2002, which contains about 10,000 blogs in 40 languages! Some PhotoBloggers upload images in your web space with an FTP application and link directly through their blogs. Some bloggers use online photo repositories such as Flickr (www.flickr.com), SmugMug (http://www.smugmug.com/) or Zoomr (www.zoomr.com) to reduce bandwidth and also to attain full management of the image. These days Picasa (http://picasaweb.google.com/) is also very popular image sharing service.

Mobile Blogs

Mobile blogs are often known as Moblogs. In this types of blogs, people access and modify content for their mobile phones or portable devices such as PDAs. Moblogs are usually developed in Japan, where people have a large number and variety of portable devices with cameras. The Moblog term was suggested by Adam Greenfield, who also organized the First International Conference moblogging (1IMC) in July 2003. Blogs phones are very popular these days due to the availability of portable devices. In 2004, the day Singapore national, a national Moblog started, which is the first national moblog in the world. Mobile blogs are often known as GLOGs (pronounced as GLOGs) when used especially as photoblogs.
