WordPress Custom Permalinks 404

I can not change the permalinks in WordPress?

Hi I want the URL of the website that I created in WordPress to say. Com / wigs.php or whatever. Com / wigs I put in the custom permalink field I get the same can not find page 404. I've tried /%% postname. Php /% /% postname but think your problem configuration. I have tried many forums and tutorials and get to the problem was the htaccess file you can not write, it is now. But still no joy! The problem persists please visit: http://acknowledgedwebtest.info/maldondemo/demolition-and-dismantling/ Any help you can really appreciate the forum that no one ever boths WordPress to respond to my messages and I can not find another place to get the answer. I'm using WP as a CMS rather than blog, so the standard url permalinks simply will not do.

Most of the settings from my blog look like this:. / Category%% /%% php postname Then at the right base category below usual structure, put this: /. That is a point slash. You could try using the% /% postname. Php if you do not want the categories. I'm not sure will work, just make sure you use the /. trick. You can also try%% postname. Php. I this format versions 2.2 to 2.65 - I do not know how it works in 2.7 without though.
