Should I join Mary Kay? I have read some bad things, what is the real story?

I'm thinking of becoming a Mary Kay consultant? I like the same product. I read some bad things about the company at a site called marykaysucks.wordpress.com. Does anyone know if the product is really better and Why? What about the dynamics of the company's sales force? I am interested in hearing the experiences that I can.

I am currently selling Mary Kay. I started to strain as much as possible. Now have eased a bit and I'm just taking care of the customers I have. And, of course, I wear my pin, and carry my bag around, and if someone leaves, I will not reject. That's really nice of Mary Kay. You can do as much or as little as you choose. I think the important thing is to leave whoever hires you and your sales manager to know exactly what to do with your business. That way they can help you along accordingly. Do not let my sales manager knowing that I wanted to go more slowly, so it was still pushing me to do all that was at first. But then when I let her know that I wanted to do least for the moment, she was very understanding. Now only call you if I need it. I know it will hear a lot of bad things about Mary Kay. But I think that a lot the problem comes from consultants not being completely honest with your sales managers what they want to do, or simply put your foot down and let your directors Sales will run your business know how much or how little you choose to work. Sales managers are there to help and motivate you. If you arent honest with them about what you do, then have no way of knowing, and will continue to try to motivate to do as much as possible. It's wonderful to earn some extra money though. Cannot beat keep 50% of its sales. Anytime I need a little extra money. I just had a class or do some facials. And there it is. Money in hand. Hope this helps. We also know that when you sign the contract you are only agreeing to sell Mary Kay to the prices quoted and no more. There is a binding contract saying you have to do any minimum sales or anything else. Its all up to you as to what you do with it. You can email me if you have any other questions.
