Showing wordpress post in a specific category of external php page.?

I'm working on a website, but one of the requirements is that I have is being able to display ads on a separate page. I'm running the Xoops CMS, and be familiar with WordPress I have the WordPress Xoops module which is exactly it only allows the message to be displayed in the xoops cms. I decided that instead of manually update the page of ads that I would use wordpress and only appear after the category of ads. Using the code in the first example in this web site i was able to get the position of an external file wordpress php. Unfortunately, are all emails from all categories. What I need is to show my status message just ads (ie, category_id = 7). Although I am familiar with PHP, the MySQL / PHP is something I'm getting now. All help with this would be appreciated and I thank you in advance.

This should do it. Just set r.term_taxonomy_id below to be the category number to extract. SELECT * P. of p LEFT JOIN wp_posts as wp_term_relationships AS r ON WHERE r.object_id p.ID r.term_taxonomy_id = 7 AND NOT FOR NULL p.ID r.object_id DESC
