How I can convert my business idea into reality?

I've had this business idea for a little over 2 years, but I really do not know how do to get there! truth bothers me! It is an online directory of business based on a niche market, but do not know how to create, market it, etc.. I played around with some web authoring software such as Joomla and WordPress, but I really do not know how to get what I want exactly. Basically, I'm just for guidance, and I'm not sure I would allow this service. I am only 19 by the way, and from the United Kingdom. thanks in advance!
