In WordPress, how I can maintain a persistent user variable?
I have many categories and want to use taxonomies for assigning the location of a position within a category. How How I can set a persistent variable so that while the user navigates through categories and jobs, I can filter ads, relevant content and location-based messages? I am using WordPress 3.0.1 with the latest BuddyPress. Cookies? Session variables? You also need to know which file to put the code in config.php? Header.php? I used the random header.php obtained before and an error because the header was already sent.
You can add to the session: for example, $ _SESSION ['variable'] = 'thecontent, and access the same way, $ _SESSION ['variable']. WordPress automatically logged, and you do not have to worry about its opening.
