Long tail keyword SEO: Best half the searches
Keywords long tail
Long Tail is a term coined by Chris Anderson (Wired Magazine, 2004). Typically long tail keywords can account for a large part of organic search visits and may have a higher conversion rate up to 200%. How serious is this "party"?
Interestingly, it has repeatedly demonstrated that the search continues Pareto distribution exactly 80:20 (ie "80% of its sales come from 20% of customers) - (Chris Anderson, Erik Brynjolfsson, Yu (Jeffrey) Hu, and Simester Duncan).
In contrast, long-tailed distribution, usually the most frequent cause 20% of articles account for less 50% of the occurrences. In other words, less frequent produce 80% of the articles are more important as a proportion of the total population. In the chart below, the tail becomes larger and longer in new markets (represented in red) and Internet retailing. In other words, while Traditional retailers have focused on the area to the left of the table, online bookstores get more sales in the area to the right.

An interesting view of Alan Mitchell in the long tail PPC:
The performance of the search phrase for the word number
Due to the large volume of keywords, using long tail keywords require a focus on the entire site hollistic. Instead of manually search phrases different objectives on different pages, an example of the most intelligent and profitable Long tail keywords for SEO in a staffing level is demonstrated by WordPress serving virtual server generated through the pages for each important phrase permalinks (Eg, labels, titles of articles, etc..) Recording of searches for your site users also provide intelligence what the content / phrases are considered important without having to perform a manual keyword research.
There are other variants of the orientation long tail keywords. But the principles are the same:
- know what users want.
- actively generating content in the sentence issue / use the easiest way possible, whether automated and / or manual.
- ensure such content indexing.
- SEO in the content template.
As the development of search technology, I personally hoped to use long tail keywords will get even easier. In fact, long tail keywords are probably the real future of search.
