WordPress Background Image Size

Blog background displayed differently on a widescreen laptop, why? 10 points?

Hi, I'm working on two pages of the blog of a friend. On your computer, which is a perfect square (and its follow-up is bigger than mine), we see the background images of these two websites very well. There is no black and empty space. However, on my laptop, which has a rectangular screen, the background image appears as if it is not large enough, and there are plenty of black "empty" space around the edges. But what I can change the CSS to make sure that the wallpaper fills the background, regardless the size of the monitor? Incidentally, this is a wordpress site. Thanks for the suggestions!
